"Custom fields" are configurable during editing of a post, at the bottom of the edit page.

It's a great theme, and I'm starting to use it.

You can modify header.php inside VideographEx folder to add your logo or modify every elements in the pages header. Take a look now at

for an example of website with a logo to the left of text header. In the same way, you can add a logo to the right.

and you create a video.jpg screenshot of your video and you put this image in the same path of your flash video like

a thumbnail will be included automatically using your image.

my example of Vimeo thumbnail works fine. Can you supply me an example URL where Vimeo video thumbnail is not working so I can reproduce your problem and find what's wrong.

@ emiliano, you theme works great under 2.7.1 but not on wp 2.6.5 and one more thing you forgot a $ for title in functions.php row 179

Also, I could see the Custom Fields, but I do not have a field named vids. When I try to enter "vids" as a new custom field, I get this error message: "An unidentified error has occurred."

If you wish to try to solve your problem before I publish a new version, you can download new function.php from here

Yes, it's possible and it's very simple. If you want to remove related videos only in a video, add a "rel=0" attribute into [youtube] tag. As an example

[youtube rel="0"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENihaFoZh_g[/youtube]

If you want to disable this youtube feature for all your youtube video you can go to the wordpress admin page, settings, video quicktags, and, at the end of this page you found various configuration and the one to disable related videos (I don't know what's the name of this setting in english because I have configured wordpress in italian language).

Your theme works great for me except when I add a veoh or vimeo file. It shows the video on the post page but in the index page, it breaks the post loop as soon it reaches one of this videos. I am using wordpress 2.6.2

The first is a Viddler video. The next one (which breaks PHP) is a Veoh one. If I unpublish the Veoh one, then all of the 30 posts get parsed well and the SideBar and Footer apperars. Right now I know that works YouTube, MetaCafe and Viddler; doesn't work Veoh, Vimeo, GoogleVideo

I noticed the good ones get their thumbnail directly from their url. The bad ones get their thumbnail via other web resources (xml, json,...) retrieved using the fopen PHP function.
Try to see if fopen is enabled in your website.

I made a simple page running phpInfo and uploaded it:

You can see there that 'allow_url_fopen' is enabled.

BTW I am using PHP Version 4.4.8. With CPanel in my host, I have the alternative to upgrade to PHP5. Maybe this can help...

"Not Found

The requested URL /archives was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/1.3.37 Server at skaist.com Port 80"

I tried thgis with a fresh install and I can't get past this for some reason. If you have any idea what it could be I'd really appreciate it.

I want to add a thumb with a link to external site. No video on it, just a link to other site.
I can add a thumb (via video_thumb) but I can't assign an external link on it or a link in the title post.
This will be great if you want to post just an external link as a notice. Ex: A thumb of Michael Jackson and a link to his official site.

i think there is a mistake in the comments.php and the div-containers are not well closed, if comments are off!
Solution: move the from line 80 81 at the End after the endif´s

Just to say I have modified it to a single column and switched off comments.

I found that using tags on index and archive caused an overlap in the display in Internet Explorer so I have removed them from those pages and placed them in the single post php page.

Great addition to Video originals theme, though i wanted to know in sidebar2 and 3 php i wanted to set it to allow your modifying set for recent videos and latest video, BUT i also want the addition of widgets i choose in the widget selection menu
